Client Comments

  • I just wanted to drop you a line concerning my wife who died last Thursday at St. Catherine’s hospice after 8 months of cancer.

Your Carers had been attending Helen for personal care over several weeks. And were instrumental in her being able to stay at home right up until 4 days before she died – – her pain levels could not be managed effectively in the home setting any longer.

Please could you pass on my sincere thanks to all the girls who were involved in Helen’s care.

Prior to retirement I have worked as a social worker/care manager down South and had come across a lot of poor care from agencies, who was apprehensive when Helen needed this help.

I found all the carers to be kind and sensitive to Helen’s needs – they never spoke over her and we never had a missed visit.

I looked forward to their calls and without them Helen could not have remained with me for as long as was the case.

    Kind Regards

  • Dear all sorry for the delay in writing to thank you for the care and attention you gave my Husband Ron, he and I really appreciated your help a big thank you also to the management who found time to allow Joe and Sarah to attend his funeral. All who attended the funeral were very impressed to see them there in their uniforms and even more impressed when they spoke to the girls. I as you can imagine in drowning in paper work but trying to keep positive if any of the girls have the time or inclination to call around when passing I shall be pleased to see them.

  • Just a few lines to thank all the staff at Mellor Homecare who have been involved in looking after my wife Isabella over the last 18 months or so. Your service and friendship has been second to none. It is with great sadness that I have to let my wife of 45 years go into a residential home, but after 2 years my own health was deteriorating to an extent that my doctor insisted that I could not cope any longer. Without seeming to pick on anyone in particular, the last few months seem to have seen Jane and Elizabeth as very regular carers. Sara and Katrina were our first contacts of a very caring and friendly team. Many, many thanks to everyone concerned. God bless you all. George & Isabella 10.11.13

  • Hi there, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of your carers for looking after my mum and treating her so kindly and with such great respect. Unfortunately even your little angels weren’t enough to keep her at home but at least we tried and without you guys tribute would not have been at all possible. You are an amazing team doing an outstanding job which is not an easy one. My hat comes off to you all. Best wishes and kind regards Jane (Kathleen’s youngest) And I’m sure this is felt by all of my siblings and the lady herself 🙂

  • I should be grateful if you would convey my sincere thanks to all your staff who cared for Geoff so well during his 2 months at home. It was a difficult time for both of us knowing what the outcome would be being able to rely on the carers arrival 4 times a day made it all so much easier, so many agencies turned us down because we lived in a rural area. I shall certainly recommend HomeCare (Mellor) to anyone who is in need of carers.

    Yours sincerely –
